About Me

Director. Filmmaker. Storyteller. 

Amy is a writer and director based in Los Angeles, California.

 

She is a past participant of both the WIF Mentorship Program and Ryan Murphy’s Episodic Directing Mentorship Program, Half. Her first film American Girl, which she directed and co-produced held its initial release on Amazon Prime after being awarded “Best Producer” at the LA Femme International Film Festival. Her pilot script Snares of the Devil won the Filmaka “Trapped” Web Series competition. It was subsequently funded into a 10 episode, short form series, which Amy wrote and directed. Amy’s short film Yes Chef won the 2020 Russo Brother’s Film Forum in partnership with NIAF and ISDA and she is an active member of the AGBO Filmmaker’s Collective. Amy’s short film script What Got Meant to Be Free was recently short listed for the 2022 First Flights Short Film Fund, a 2023 Filmmatic Horror Screenplay Awards Quarterfinalist, a 2023 Midwest WeirdFest Short Screenplay Semi-Finalist and a 2023 Big Apple Screenplay Festival Honorable Mention.

 

Her most recent short film, Californie, which she directed and co-produced is currently on the festival circuit. Californie is currently an Official Selection of the Bedford International Film Festival, the Short Film Factory and BARCIFF (Barcelona Indie Filmmakers Festival), where it is also nominated for “Best Director”.

"Yes Chef", a short film, received a grant in partnership with NIAF and ISDA.The film won the Forum and was honored in Washington, DC in 2021.
